Join us at Sydney Motorsport Park for an exhilarating round of the 2026 Motorkhana Championship! Whether you are chasing championship points for a year-end trophy or simply looking to improve your car control, this event offers a challenging and supportive environment for all skill levels.
The Challenge: Navigate timed courses on the skid pan marked by traffic cones. It’s all about precision, car control, and achieving the fastest time without mistakes.
Instruction: In-car instructors are typically available to help beginners and more experienced drivers find their lines and improve their times.
The Championship: This event is part of a 5-round series, with trophies awarded at the Club’s Annual Dinner.
Come & Try: Never tried motorsport? This is the perfect entry point. We offer $40 Introductory Licences on the day—no club membership or full Motorsport Australia licence required for your first go!
BMWDCNSW Members: $90
Non-Members: $140 Note: You do not need to own a BMW to join the club!
Requirements: At a minimum, a valid Motorsport Australia Speed Licence is required. If you do not have an annual Speed Licence, you are able to use a one-day Introductory Licence or Single Event Speed Licence (both are only able to used once per year).

Screenshot or photo of your current Motorsport Australia Speed Licence (or completed Introductory Licence Form or Single Event Speed Licence with your Credit Card details) 3. If you are a non-BMW club member with an Annual Speed Licence, a screenshot or photo of your current Motorsport Affiliated club membership

Attire: No helmets required. Please wear enclosed shoes and at least a t-shirt and shorts.
Vehicle: All vehicle brands are welcome. Please just ensure that it is in a safe roadworthy condition.
Venue: Sydney Motorsport Park Skid Pan
Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Passengers: All passengers are free at our events however must be registered in the separate Passengers and Volunteers event.
Volunteers: We are always looking for volunteers to assist with this event. If you are a competitor and happy to volunteer between your runs or just looking to help out for the day, please also register in the separate Passengers and Volunteers event.
Not ready to get behind the wheel just yet? You can still be part of the excitement at our Sydney Motorsport Park events! Whether you want to feel the G-forces from the passenger seat or help us run the show behind the scenes, we would love to have you.
Experience Motorkhana from the inside! This is the perfect way to see what the sport is all about before you decide to drive.
How it works: Once registered, simply ask a competitor on the day for permission to hop into their vehicle for a run.
Requirements:
Attire: You must wear enclosed footwear and a minimum of a T-shirt and shorts.
Safety: For your safety, all limbs must remain within the confines of the vehicle at all times.
Paperwork: All passengers must have completed a Passenger Ride Entry Form and uploaded it when registering for their ticket.
Note: Current event competitors do not need to register separately as a passenger.
Our events rely on our fantastic volunteers, and we make sure they are well looked after. It’s a great way to get a "front-row seat" to the action while supporting the motorsport community.
The Roles: Assisting with course setup (placing cones) and timing the competitor runs.
The Perks: The club provides a free hot lunch, snacks, drinks, shade and sunscreen throughout the day for all volunteers.
Timing: Please arrive at the Sydney Motorsport Park Skidpan at 7:15 AM to assist with the morning setup.
Multi-tasking: Volunteers are welcome to be competitors as well! You can help with event proceedings when you aren't driving.
Attire: Weather appropriate attire and waterproof footwear is strongly recommended as the skidpan has plenty of standing water on it.
