This Motorsport Event Permit No. 226/1406/TBA is Round 2 of our 2026 BMW Supersprint Championship and also Round 5 of Porsche Clubs Championship as well as our annual BMW/Porsche Challenge.

Here are the preliminary 2026 documents prepared by Porsche Club NSW. Download, read and understand these preliminary  Supp. Regs., and  Driver Briefing Notes.

BMW Drivers Register here and Porsche Drivers Register on the Porsche website.

Read the Supersprint Regulations 2026 Ver2.2 and all competitors must complete the online Annex C (2026)  This provides all the BMW Supersprint Championship rules, places your car in the competition and in the correct  Supersprint Class.  The old Annex-C that you competed early in 2026 is replaced by this new one Annex C (2026).  After reading and understanding the V2.2 Rules, complete the new  Annex C (2026) now.

To enter Supersprint Round 2 (SS.2), register here, and complete the online BMW Drivers Club Supersprint R2 Master Form This form includes Compliance, Disclaimer and Scrutineering forms.

This is a Supersprint Event with 60 BMWs and 60 Porsches where cars are in 5 speed groups that are rated fastest to slowest with up to 24 cars fastest to slowest in each group.  Drivers drive to set their best times in their club’s competition Class to win points in their club’s championship.  This is not a car race. Employ appropriate Supersprint driver etiquette. If a car is closer to you this lap than it was on the previous lap, it is faster than you so let it pass. If you are fast down the straight but are pushed around the corners by apparently slower cars, let them pass and follow them to learn their cornering techniques.

As this is also the annual BMW / Porsche Challenge, 25 BMW Club Cars and 25 Porsche Club Cars will be gaining points in the challenge by getting as close to their group time without breaking out.  All the details and group times are published in the Supp. Regs.

    Important notes:

    1. The exact meet location (in Western Sydney) and time will be provided to registered attendees one week prior to the event.
    2. 5 watt CB UHF radios are highly recommended for use, so drivers are aware of upcoming turns and potential hazards. The club will offer a few radios on the day for loan, however we recommend our regular attendees purchase their own.
    3. Cancellations and refunds - Must be made within 8 days prior to the event to secure a refund as the club need to pay the venue in advance for meals. Cancellations can be made through the event via your login on the club website. This will allow someone who is on the waitlist to join us on the drive.
    4. Tail-end-charlie - If you are happy to follow up the rear of the convoy to keep everyone together, please email Ash. Otherwise she will take nominations at the driver briefing.

Please send any queries to Ash at ash.sherry@bmwclubnsw.asn.au

We have our experienced and talented Motorsport Australia qualified Driver Coaches as our Coach/instructors.  We will be running five groups of up to 12 cars in each group so that all drivers can drive at their own pace without being delayed or pushed to go faster.

Group 1 is a group for experienced track drivers, possibly have a few Supersprints and are now looking for more Supersprint driving instruction.  You will have a Coach/Instructor for your first run or two but may drive without a Coach after demonstrating your experience.

Group 2  is for a group of drivers with some track experience who are taking Coach/Instruction with the aim of moving into Supersprint events in the near future.

Group 3 is for a group of drivers who have driven on the track but are looking for Coach/Instruction to improve their track experience.

Group 4 is for a group of divers with considerable road driving experience and are now looking for Coach/Instruction as an introduction to driving on the racetrack.

Group 5 is for a group of drivers starting out on their driver experience and looking for Coach/Instruction to drive on a car race circuit.

There is a process to enter this event:

Supersprint Rnd 3 with Come & Try / Track Day on the Amaroo (South) Circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park. Run under Motorsport Australia Permit 226/2709/TBA

Twist and turn Supersprint and Track day motorsport day on Amaroo for Supersprint competitors having their third competition event for the year and for club participant members who just want to have a non-competitive day enjoying a drive on this car race circuit.  Ideal track day for those who enjoyed the Driver Experience back on 1 Aug.

The day has sessions for two separate groups: Supersprint with Drivers referred to as Competitors and Track Day with drivers referred to as Participants.

Supersprint is a multi-car speed event conducted on a circuit with competitors in cars that are grouped together based on similar lap times. This Supersprint is Round 3 of our 2026 Supersprint Championship. See the 2025 Supersprint rules on Supersprint

The Come & Try / Track Day allows participant drivers who wish to try out this motorsport circuit in a controlled environment with no competition.

We expect to have four or five groups of up to 15 cars, in each group,  running on the day, and will aim for three or four Competitor groups, that is Supersprint Drivers, and one or two Participant groups, that is Come & Try / Track Day, Drivers.  The number of groups will depend on the number of drivers who register.  On the day, groups will run in sessions in a sequence SS1, SS2, TD, SS3 or some other list of groups with equal time for each group.

The entry fee is the same for either Supersprint Competitors or Come & Try / Track Day Participants, and all have equal track time. Expect 5 sessions in the day with all going well.

To understand how this combined day works, all drivers are to download, read and understand the  Event Supp. Regs. and Driver Briefing Notes published here in August.

Supersprint Competitors must read the 2026 Supersprint Drivers Rules. These are in addition to the Supp. Regs. and the Supersprint championship Rules.  Speed groups with cars placed fastest to slowest, Scrutiny checked and drivers are required to have a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence.  There are no passengers in Supersprints.  Since this is the first Supersprint for 2026, competitors please complete the online Annex C Form and submit by email. This assists having cars in the correct Supersprint Class.

For Come & Try / Track Day participants must also read the 2025 Track Driver Rules and:

    • the car has current Australian registration, is road legal and you drive the car to the circuit,
    • no fire extinguisher is required, however a tow coupling is recommend but not compulsory, (there is one in your cars tool bag).
    • approved helmet and appropriate apparel is required,
    • no timing, and no published results.
    • Driving behaviors will be observed with coaches driving in Track Day groups
    • Coaches are expected to be available to instruct participants and are the only passengers.

Track Day participants can either purchase a Motorsport Australia one day  INTRODUCTORY LICENCE for $40, download it, fill it in and bring it with you or have a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence.

All cars on the track must have a 2 digit car number on both sides of the car.  These are to Motorsport Schedule K and are 230mm high white or black, stick on, digits.  Choose your own car number and it is yours unless already claimed by another driver, then we will sort it out by email.  Number digits are for sale at the sign-on desk $3.50 each, so $14 credit card or buy them from sign shops for more than $5 each. We also have blank white number panels for sale.  Numbers made out of paper and sticky tape are not permitted. Battery triangles are also for sale $2 (required on Supersprint cars)

There is a Event Master Form that combines the requirement of Compliance, Disclaimer and Scrutiny for Competitors and Participants.  For Supersprint Competitors, complete online  Supersprint SS3 and for Come & Try / Track Day Participants, complete online Come & Try .  Do this once you have registered and before 16 April.

Have you ever wanted to have a go at Brabham Circuit.  We have approval and may choose to run one session for everyone on Brabham Circuit. That is an extension of Gardner.  Decision is to be made at the Sign-on desk on the day.

We are going to run a 30-minute follow the leader session that will include passengers.  See that information and registration on the website.

Where passengers are involved, all drivers and passengers are to complete a Passenger Ride Entry Form and submit it to the staff at the sign-on desk on the day.  Only Passengers are coaches for Track-Day and appreciation laps for volunteers.
