Renewal of Classic Vehicle Scheme Registration



The renewal of your CVS Registration is somewhat less involved unless you have undertaken more alterations/modifications since previous registration renewal.  In which case it may be necessary to review your Vehicle Safety Certificate of Compliance and have it updated by an authorised certifier.  If you have made recent changes/modifications, you may also require a new Blue Slip to validate the renewal of registration.  The registered owner has the responsibility to adopt the correct procedure here.

Please ensure your financial membership covers the entire period of the registration of your vehicle.

The documentation you will require to renew the Classic registration is:

  • Classic Vehicle Declaration (to be endorsed by BMW Club’s CVS Registrar and CMC) (RMS-form-45072029)
  • A new Pink Slip (<42 days old)  Note if the vehicle has had additional modifications since the previous vehicle registration you will require a new Blue Slip
  • CMC Check List /Declaration (CMC requirement)
  • a copy of the previous vehicle Conditional Registration Certificate
  • Recent Photos of vehicle – date stamped please (BMW Club requirement)
  • A New BMW Club CVS Statutory Declaration (completed, signed, and witnessed) (BMW Club requirement)
  • Any compliance documentation which may be required as a result of recent modifications

Option 1

Physically send via Express Post the following documents and photos to the Club’s Registrar.   In choosing this option please email historic@bmwclubnsw.asn.au to obtain the relevant postal address for your submission:

  1. Classic Vehicle Declaration (Original)  
  2. copy of the new Pink Slip
  3. IF applicable, a copy of the Blue Slip (<42 days old)
  4.   CMC declaration (original)
  5.   VSCC if applicable 
  6. A copy of the previous vehicle Conditional Registration Certificate 
  7. A payment to the BMW Drivers Club NSW of $15.00 for Express Post to CMC OR include a n addressed Express Post Envelope t CMC (PO Box 174 Bexley))Payment is either via PayPal – treasurer@bmwclubnsw.asn.au or Direct deposit to:  BMW Drivers Club NSW;  BSB 062151; Account: 28015744


Option 2 (Preferred and quicker method)

EMAIL to the Registrar (historics@bmwclubnsw.asn.au)

  1. Classic Vehicle Declaration completed ELECTRONICALLY (save this as a PDF or Print it to a PDF and email the Saved or Printed version)
  2. copy of the new Pink Slip
  3. IF applicable, a copy of the Blue Slip (<42 days old)
  4.   CMC Checklist and declaration (complete this ELECTRONICALLY) Submit in PDF format
  5.   VSCC if applicable (in PDF format)
  6. A copy of the previous vehicle Conditional Registration Certificate
  7. Recent Photos of vehicle – date stamped please (BMW Club requirement) in JPEG format Refer to the BMW Club Check List spreadsheet (see link below
  8. A New BMW Club CVS Statutory Declaration (completed, signed, and witnessed) (BMW Club annual requirement) to secretary@bmwclubnsw.asn.au
  9. Pay BMW Drivers Club NSW $15 for the onward Express postage of your documentation to CMC.   Payment is either via PayPal – treasurer@bmwclubnsw.asn.au or Direct deposit to:  BMW Drivers Club NSW;  BSB 062151; Account: 28015744

You will need to make a payment of $25.00 to CMC (refer Flow Chart).  This can be done via direct deposit online.

Email to the historic@bmwclubnsw.asn.au the following.all of your documentation (items 1 to 8 above) to support the CVS Registration application be in   order, documents (1 to 5)  shall be forwarded  by post to Council of Motor Clubs directly from the Registrar.

The registrar shall follow up with you via email or phone if there is anything missing or will require further information from you about the vehicle
