This event at Amaroo Circuit at SMSP is run under Motorsport Australia Permit 226/2709/02.

Welcome to the Supersprint and Track Day at Amaroo — the fourth Supersprint round of the year for competitors, and a non-competitive day on the circuit for club members who just want to enjoy a drive. It's an ideal follow-on for anyone who enjoyed the Driver Experience on 1 August.

Please download, read and understand the Supp. Regs. and Supersprint Standing Regulations before the event.

    Two groups, one day

The day runs two separate groups: Supersprint, for drivers referred to as Competitors, and Track Day, for drivers referred to as Participants.

Supersprint is a multi-car speed event on a closed circuit, with competitors grouped by similar lap times. This round is Round 4 of the 2026 Supersprint Championship — see the Supersprint rules for details.

Come & Try / Track Day lets participant drivers try out the circuit in a controlled, non-competitive environment.

We expect four or five groups of up to 15 cars each on the day: three or four Competitor (Supersprint) groups and one or two Participant (Come & Try / Track Day) groups. The exact number of groups will depend on how many drivers register. Groups will run in sessions through the day — for example SS1, SS2, TD, SS3 — with equal track time for every group, and we expect at least 5 sessions.

The entry fee is the same for Supersprint Competitors and Come & Try / Track Day Participants, and both get equal track time.

    Supersprint requirements

Cars are placed in Speed groups from fastest to slowest, and must pass scrutineering. Drivers need a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence. Log into Motorsport Australia and establish your account.  Passengers are not permitted in Supersprint sessions.

If this is your first Supersprint for 2026, please complete the online Annex-C form and it will be saved in our Annex-C file. — this ensures your car is placed in the correct Supersprint class and that you're entered for Supersprint Championship trophies. Use this Track Car Scrutineering Form to check your car will pass Scrutineering

Come & Try / Track Day requirements

Participants must also read the Track Day Rules. In summary:

    • your car must have current Australian registration, be road legal, and be driven to the circuit. Use this TfNSW Scrutineering Form to check your car for Scrutineering.
    • a fire extinguisher is not required, though a tow coupling is recommended (not compulsory) — there's one in your car's tool bag
    • an approved helmet and appropriate apparel are required
    • there's no timing and no published results
    • coaches will observe driving behaviour in Track Day groups and are the only passengers permitted; they're on hand to instruct participants

Track Day participants need a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence, or can purchase a one-day Motorsport Australia INTRODUCTORY LICENCE for $40 — download it, fill it in, and submit it to Motorsport Australia in advance, or bring it with you to the sign-on desk on the day.

    Car numbers

Every car on the track must display a 2-digit number on both sides, per Motorsport Schedule K: 230mm high, white or black, self-adhesive digits. You can choose your own number — it's yours unless already claimed by another driver, in which case we'll sort it out by email.

Number digits are available at the sign-on desk for $3.50 each ($14 by credit card), or you can buy them for a bit more from a sign shop. We also sell blank white number panels. Numbers made from paper and sticky tape are not permitted. Battery triangles are also available for $2 (required for Supersprint cars).

Come and Try and Track Day Passengers - Coaches and Volunteer Appreciation Laps - (No passengers allowed in Supersprint)

Where passengers, which includes Coaches and Volunteer appreciation laps are involved, all drivers and passengers must complete an online Passenger Ride Form.

Only Coaches (for Track Day) and Volunteers (for appreciation laps) may ride as passengers in Track Day Cars.

    Follow the leader laps

We may run a 30-minute follow-the-leader session that includes passengers. There will be announcements, where if there are sufficient drivers wanting to be involved in this follow the leader session, we will run this session.

Cars must be road registered, drivers have a driver's licence. No helmets are required.  All drivers and passengers must wear their car seatbelt and we accept juniors in appropriate car seats. Speed will be up to standard road speeds, expect less than 100KMPH.

Driver and car will be $25 and passengers $10, paid to the Sign on Desk. Complete and print out a Passenger Ride Form to bring with you, or fill one in on the day where Driver and Passenger wrist bands are issued.
