  This is a Driver Training night on Amaroo Circuit as a Come and Try event.  Your  terrific opportunity to drive on this circuit under those brilliant LED lights.  Motorsport Australia Permit Number is 225/0507/02. 

  We have our experienced drivers as instructors and are running four groups of up to 15 cars in each group. 

  Group 1 will be for experienced drivers looking for Supersprint driving instruction.

  Group 2 less experienced drivers wanting driver training.

  Group 3 for drivers new to the track looking to be instructed in their track driving. 

  Group 4 for inexperienced drivers starting out for track driving. 

  There is a process to enter this event:

  Step 1. Download and read the Supp. Regs. for this Driver Experience.  It lets you know how the event will  be run. 

  Step 2. You must have a Motorsport Australia Licence.  If you don’t have an MA Speed or Junior Speed Licence then go online to Motorsport Australia Speed Licence  and purchase your licence online, OR,  If you want just an Motorsport Australia Come & Try Introductory one day licence for $35, follow that link, download the Introductory licence, print it, fill it in including your Credit Card payment section, and bring it with you to the Sign-on Desk on the evening. 

  Step 3. Register for this event, complete the Registration Form and pay the entry fee online.  All cars will must have a car number sticker on both sides so that Flag Marshals can identify your car.  That number is your desired 1, 2 or 3 digit number that you entered on your registration and that number will be yours unless that number it is already allocated, then you will receive an email with an alternative number. Our 220mm high digits are available to purchase at the Sign-on Desk on the evening.  170mm digits from Bunnings are ok but no bits of paper or sticky tape. Do it properly.  Your car needs to be recognised at speed.

  Step 4.   Master Event Form.   It will includes your Compliance, Disclaimer, and Scrutiny Forms and must be completed and submitted online by all drivers.  Here is also the List of Scrutiny items that you checked on your master form. Use it to check and make sure your car is OK. Cars must be able to pass the TfNSW road rego test or be our BMW track cars.  

  There is also a Passenger Ride Form.  There are no Passengers, just Driving Instructors and Drivers.  Download the form complete it and the Disclaimer and bring them with you and hand them to the Sign-on Desk staff.  

  

  Volunteers We already have our Experienced Supersprint Drivers with instructing talent as our Driving Instructors.

  We need Flag Marshals and will be able to offer them a couple of laps of Amaroo Circuit in the Passenger's seat of talented driver's car.  Please encourage your friends and relatives to be Flag Marshals for the evening and register on the Volunteers event.

  This is where our Officials Register as volunteers for this Driver Experience.  We need Driving Instructors and Flag Marshals, as well as our Management, Sign-on, and Scrutineering teams.  

  Driving Instructor.  If you are an experienced track driver with talent to teach our members track driving, please volunteer and register here. You will have an exciting evening encouraging our drivers.  As an instructor please complete on line the Master Event Form  for disclaimer.  If you are intending to run your car on the track demonstrating driving to the Club Members then complete the Scrutineering parts.  Here is the List of  Scrutiny items that you checked.  Instructors also complete a Passenger Ride Form, print it and hand it in to the Sign-on Desk. 

  Flag Marshals. If you want an experience on trackside with a radio transceiver and light control panel, here is where you register as a volunteer Flag Marshal.  As a Flag Marshal you are assisting making it safe for us driving on the circuit.  We can even offer a few laps in the passengers seat of a driving instructor's car. Let motorsport know that you would like those laps.   Experience is not essential as we provide Flag Marshal briefing.  Flag Marshals Register and also complete a Passenger Ride Form, print it and hand it in to the Sign-on Desk.  

  The Management team, sign-on and scrutineering crews also register here and complete the Master Event Form  for disclaimer.  

  This Driver Experience has Motorsport Australia Permit 225/0507/02 Download Supp. Regs. read and understand.  

  If you are bringing a car to the circuit please complete the online Annex C Form. This assists having cars in the correct Supersprint Class.

  Join in for the annual Winter Historics Drive to the beautiful Blue Mountains!

  It's time to take the cover off your historic vehicle, stretch it's legs, and enjoy a scenic drive on great roads with sweeping corners through the Blue Mountains to Hartley Vale for lunch with your friends in an iconic heritage barn.

  Although we encourage our members with historic vehicles to attend our historics drives, all our members are welcome to attend this event in their classic or modern BMWs. The club has over 300 historic vehicles now, so why not come out and enjoy a day drive with other club members.

  Destination and lunch: Collits Inn, Hartley Vale Rd Harley.

  This venue offers the perfect setting for our historics drive lunch! Lunch will take place in the beautiful heritage barn that has been restored to it's former glory, don't worry there's a fireplace and several heaters to keep us warm!

  Menu!

  • A selection of four canapes to start in the gardens, followed by
  • Sit down shared platters for mains, which include a selection of Chicken Roulade and Lamb Shoulder, served over roasted chat potatoes with fresh seasonal local vegetables. 
  • IMPORTANT NOTE - Dietary requirements can be accommodated if advised at the time of registration.

  Beverages:

  Drinks are to be paid on consumption at the bar and include alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (cash and eftpos available).

  Weather:

  Important - Bring your winter woolies, it will be chilly at this time of year! They will have the fireplace roaring and additional heaters in the barn.

  
  

  History about the destination...

  Established in 1823, Collits’ Inn is the first, and longest-standing building in the Blue Mountains region. Originally known as The Golden Fleece, Collits’ Inn was built by its namesake – former convict and unlikely entrepreneur Pierce Collits. In its first years, the inn served as an important piece of Australian history allowing a place for rest and a touch of home-grown comfort for those making the harrowing journey along the first-ever road from Sydney to Bathurst. 

  
  

  Important notes:
  

  1. The exact meet location (in Western Sydney) and time will be provided to registered attendees one week prior to the event. 
  2. 5 watt CB radios are highly recommended for use, so drivers are aware of upcoming turns and potential hazards. The club will offer a few radios on the day for loan, however we recommend our regular attendees purchase their own.
  3. Cancellations and refunds - Must be made within 14days prior to the event to secure a refund as the club need to pay the venue in advance. Cancellations can be made through the event via your login on the club website. This will allow someone who is on the waitlist to join us on the drive.
  4. Tail-end-charlie - If you are happy to follow up the rear of the convoy to keep everyone together, please email Ash. Otherwise she will take nominations at the driver briefing.

  A Motorkhana on the Sydney Motorsport Park Skid Pan is challenging, entertaining and educational. If you are interested in learning about precision car control in a fun and/or competitive environment then this event is for you!

  This event involves timed runs on a serious of tests (courses) set up using traffic cones on the skidpan with the goal of achieving the fastest possible time without making mistakes. It is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience alike. In car instructors are normally provided at our events.

  This MotorKhana is part of a 5 MotorKhana Championship with trophies awarded at the end of the year at the Club's Annual Dinner. All the rules for MotorKhana are published in "Motorsport" on this website.

  No helmets are required, only enclosed shoes, a t-shirt and shorts at a minimum. All brands of vehicles are permitted.

  Entry will only initially be open to BMW Drivers Club NSW Members for $80. You are not required to own a BMW to become a member of our club. Registration to non-members will open 2 weeks prior to the event date with all entries costing $105.

  To compete, you will require a valid Motorsport Australia Speed licence (at a minimum). Members of Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs such as ours can obtained that licence online at https://www.motorsport.org.au/register or https://motorsport.org.au/login.

  At registration, you must provide the following documents:

  1. Completed Self Statement of Vehicle Compliance

  A new Executive and General Committee is to be elected and we are calling for nominations to fill these important positions to conduct the direction, management of operations and administration of the Club.

  To add to our desire for motorsport we have been invited as guests to Porsche Club NSW's Supersprint Round 5 for 2025 at Gardner Circuit, SMSP

  This is a Porsche Club Event with no points in our Supersprint Championship.  Simply to register, follow these instructions 

  1. Register your attendance through here so our club knows you are attending and we can communicate any important information easily with you.
  2. Visit the PCNSW website to register https://pcnsw.onefireplace.com/ when registration opens.  The password is INVITED.  Be sure to have your Motorsport Australia Speed Licence details handy as it's a minimum entry requirement for this event.
  3. Complete ALL the Porsche Club NSW paperwork.
  4. Read the Supplementary Regulations on their event webpage.

  In 2024 we missed our Supersprint rounds 5 and 7 due to low driver numbers. For 2025 we have 4 Supersprints for our champions, but we are not crediting BMW Club Supersprint Championship points for driving in this Porsche event.  Just enjoy this evening.

  We are excited to reveal to our members the dates for our next escape! This time we are visiting the vibrant Nations Capital.

  What to expect

  We are basing this escape program around attending German Auto Day GAD on Sunday 21 September, and will include a number of great activities and stops along the way.

  A convoy will depart Sydney mid to late morning, and will head for Canberra CBD via the Southern Highlands for a comfort stop.

  We have carefully selected excellent and well rated accommodation in Canberra CBD. A group dinner will take place on the Friday evening, venue TBC. 

  There will be a drive on Saturday 20 September with BMW Car Club Canberra that will take attendees through the stunning countryside, via amazing roads, including the Historic Cotter water pumping station built in 1915, the Cotter dam, the Taemas Bridge built in 1931, and into Yass for a comfort stop. Yass offers some beautiful shopping, coffee, and wine, or otherwise just chat with your new friends. 

  The drive will conclude in Murrumbateman for lunch at the pub. Following the pub lunch, lets continue the fun at Hume Truck Wash and prep our cars for GAD. The truck wash has exceptional wash facilities include hot water and great wash products.

  A group dinner will be organised for the Saturday evening.

  Join our friends from the BMW Drivers Club Canberra for the German Auto Day (GAD) 2025 as it returns to the Canberra region at the picturesque location of Thoroughbred Park.

  GAD is a one day German automotive display event held each year and is a collaboration event organised by local German branded marques, BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and other rare marques.

  Important - To secure your place in the Show 'n' Shine, you must register directly with the BMW Drivers Club Canberra - Link to be provided in the coming months.

  Please also register your interest in attending this event through this page, so we can easily contact you with any details for co-club related events.

  General Entry will be $10, of which $5 goes to charity. We will also be holding the Clubs annual Show 'n' Shine - BMWCCC Members Entry – $20.00 (entry fee goes towards trophies and event costs). NOTE: Show 'n' Shine entries close TBC to ensure judges have time to prepare.

  There will be plenty to do and see for the whole family - Food, coffee and activities to keep the kids entertained!

  FANCY A WEEKEND AWAY?

  We will be running "Escape to the ACT" and will have a convoy meet in the outskirts of Sydney on Friday and will to head to Canberra for our accommodation for the Friday evening. The following day we will meet BMW Car Club Canberra for a Saturday AM drive to enjoy fun, new roads in the ACT and NSW. We will finish for lunch somewhere picturesque, and have the afternoon to clean our vehicles in preparation for GAD on Sunday. More information to follow in the coming months.

  Day of event

  On the day of GAD, entrants can start arriving on site from 8:00am and to be in place before 9:30am on Sunday, 21 September 2025. We suggest getting in early to avoid access chaos.

  Entry to the venue for ALL vehicles is 1 Randwick Road, Lyneham. Everyone will need to follow directions from Marshals as they enter the venue.

  Food and drink will be available on site during the day. Bring the family, for those not interested in cars the handmade markets are on at Exhibition Park just down the road.

  This year we are hosting 2 Driver Experience nights on the skidpan at Sydney Motorsport Park. These events are a great opportunity to not only learn some valuable car control skills but also dip your toes into the world of motorsport in a fun, educational and welcoming event with like minded drivers. Instruction will be provided on the night on various driving techniques/situations including understeer, oversteer, handbrake turns (if applicable) reverse J turns and drifting and how to apply all of these together into a Motorkhana course.

  This event is suitable for most drivers, anywhere from juniors (12-17 year olds), to adult drivers interested in trying out their cars on the skidpan for the first time, to more experienced drivers who are interested in refreshing some of their car control techniques.

  Entrants will need to be a club member and must hold a valid Motorsport Australia Licence.  This licence is available online from Motorsport Australia. Don’t delay as you must have that licence before the event date.

  18+ Years of Age - Speed Licence

  12-17 Years of Age - Speed Junior Licence

  For those who have never previously held any Motorsport Australia Licence, you can purchase a $30 2025 Motorsport Australia Introductory Licence (credit card details are required)

  Save the date NOW for the biggest BMW event in Australia the BMW Superfest 2025!

  BMW Drivers Club NSW is hosting Australia's greatest BMW event once again!  Join us at the famous Sydney Motorsport Park at Eastern Creek for a spectacular combination of our annual car show and round 4 of the SuperSprint motorsport challenge series.

  We've secured the prestigious GP Gardner Circuit for our motorsport competitors, and the skidpan for our car show. The pit paddock area and skid pan will be busy with Trade Vendors and event sponsor stalls and services, there will be something for everyone!

  Entrants and spectators can expect a full program including:

  • Over 300 BMWs on Display at the 'Show N Shine' and our separate 'Official Judged Category Vehicles' display!
  • 100 BMWs in the SuperSprint at the SuperSprint Rnd 4 as our competitors tackle the GP Gardner Circuit.
  • Parade Laps - car show entrants can take part in parade laps around the official track after the awards presentation ceremony.
  • Rare BMWs on display - See multiple rare BMWs all in the same place.
  • Trade Stands - explore various trade stands with demonstrations and products for sale.
  • Official BMW Lifestyle Merchandise will be available for purchase, as well as SuperFest merchandise.

  
  

  Car Show

  All BMW enthusiasts are welcome to display their BMW in our car show. However, our official judged categories are only open to current financial club members of all the official BMW Clubs in Australia.

  There are two vehicle display options: 

  • Show N Shine - This category is open to all BMW owners (club members and non club members). People's Choice prizes will be awarded, no official judging. Your ticket includes parade laps around the racetrack on the day, during a specified time slot (mid afternoon).
  • Official judged categories - Pre-registration is essential for this category, which is open only to financial club members (of all BMW Clubs in Australia).   A Motorkhana on the Sydney Motorsport Park Skid Pan is challenging, entertaining and educational. If you are interested in learning about precision car control in a fun and/or competitive environment then this event is for you!

  This event involves timed runs on a serious of tests (courses) set up using traffic cones on the skidpan with the goal of achieving the fastest possible time without making mistakes. It is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience alike. In car instructors are normally provided at our events.

  This MotorKhana is part of a 5 MotorKhana Championship with trophies awarded at the end of the year at the Club's Annual Dinner. All the rules for MotorKhana are published in "Motorsport" on this website.

  No helmets are required, only enclosed shoes, a t-shirt and shorts at a minimum. All brands of vehicles are permitted.

  Entry will only initially be open to BMW Drivers Club NSW Members for $80. You are not required to own a BMW to become a member of our club. Registration to non-members will open 2 weeks prior to the event date with all entries costing $105.

  To compete, you will require a valid Motorsport Australia Speed licence (at a minimum). Members of Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs such as ours can obtained that licence online at https://www.motorsport.org.au/register or https://motorsport.org.au/login.

  At registration, you must provide the following documents:

  1. Completed Self Statement of Vehicle Compliance
  2. Completed Self Checklist Autotest 
  3. Completed Motorsport Australia General Disclaimer
  4. Screenshot or photo of your current Motorsport Australia Speed Licence

  If you wish to be a passenger or a volunteer at our Motorkhana event, please register here. Competitors are not required to sign up as a passenger.

  Passengers are required to wear a t-shirt and shorts as well as enclosed footwear and must keep limbs within the confines of the vehicle at all times. You must also complete a Passenger Ride Entry Form. Anyone can be a passenger if you are interested in seeing and experiencing what motorkhana is about. Just ask a competitor on the day for permission to hop in their vehicle as a passenger and enjoy the ride!

  We also require a few volunteers for the day to assist with activities such as setting up of cones and timing of competitor runs. A hot lunch as well as snacks and drinks are provided by the club to volunteers. Volunteers can also be competitors, assisting with proceedings when not driving. If you are volunteering, please attend the skidpan at around 7.15am to assist with setup.
