  This is it! Our 5th and FINAL MotorKhana round of the year.

  It's your last chance this season to get in on the action, test your skills, and have a blast with the best club around. Whether you're chasing those final championship points or just coming for the fun, you don't want to miss this.

   WANT TO GIVE IT A TRY?  Have you ever wanted to get into motorsport but didn't know where to start? Now's your chance!

  We are offering $35 Introductory Licences on the day for anyone new to the sport. This is a one-day licence that lets you compete without needing a club membership or a Motorsport Australia licence. It's the perfect, low-cost way to see what motorkhana is all about!

  A Motorkhana on the Sydney Motorsport Park Skid Pan is challenging, entertaining and educational. If you are interested in learning about precision car control in a fun and/or competitive environment then this event is for you!

  This event involves timed runs on a serious of tests (courses) set up using traffic cones on the skidpan with the goal of achieving the fastest possible time without making mistakes. It is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience alike. In car instructors are normally provided at our events.

  This MotorKhana is part of a 5 MotorKhana Championship with trophies awarded at the end of the year at the Club's Annual Dinner. All the rules for MotorKhana are published in "Motorsport" on this website.

  No helmets are required, only enclosed shoes, a t-shirt and shorts at a minimum. All brands of vehicles are permitted.

  Entry will only initially be open to BMW Drivers Club NSW Members for $80. You are not required to own a BMW to become a member of our club. Registration to non-members will open 2 weeks prior to the event date with all entries costing $105.

  To compete, you will require a valid Motorsport Australia Speed licence (at a minimum). Members of Motorsport Australia affiliated clubs such as ours can obtained that licence online at https://www.motorsport.org.au/register or https://motorsport.org.au/login.
  
  If you don't have a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence then as the Event is a Come & Try activity you can take out a $35 Introductory Licence.  Simply Register for this event, Download the Licence Form, complete it with your credit card details and bring it with you to the Sign on Desk on Saturday Morning. 
  

  At registration, you must provide the following documents:

  1. Completed Self Statement of Vehicle Compliance
  2. Completed Self Checklist Autotest 
  3. Completed Motorsport Australia General Disclaimer
  4. Screenshot or photo of your current Motorsport Australia Speed Licence

  If you wish to be a passenger or a volunteer at our Motorkhana event, please register here. Competitors are not required to sign up as a passenger.

  Passengers are required to wear a t-shirt and shorts as well as enclosed footwear and must keep limbs within the confines of the vehicle at all times. You must also complete a Passenger Ride Entry Form. Anyone can be a passenger if you are interested in seeing and experiencing what motorkhana is about. Just ask a competitor on the day for permission to hop in their vehicle as a passenger and enjoy the ride!

  We also require a few volunteers for the day to assist with activities such as setting up of cones and timing of competitor runs. A hot lunch as well as snacks and drinks are provided by the club to volunteers. Volunteers can also be competitors, assisting with proceedings when not driving. If you are volunteering, please attend the skidpan at around 7.15am to assist with setup.

  We enjoy dining together usually on a on Tuesday but this time is is going to be Wednesday at Drummoyne Sailing Club.  This is the last one for the year and changed to Wednesday so that we can all be there.  We meet at 11:30 for 12 noon.  We look forward to seeing you all.  The Sailing Club is at 2 St Georges Cres, Drummoyne NSW 2047.

• 2026 Skid Pan Driver Experience

  This Driver Experience is for all members,  It is all about experiencing driving your car, t on a large, flat, wet, slippery Skid Pan at Sydney Motorsport Park. This event is a great opportunity to not only learn some valuable car control skills but also dip your toes into the world of motorsport in a fun, educational and welcoming event with like minded drivers. Instruction will be provided on the night on various driving techniques/situations including understeer, oversteer, handbrake turns (if applicable) reverse "J" turns and drifting and how to apply all of these together into a Motorkhana course.

  This Experience is Motorsport Australia Permit 226/1801/TBA.  Supp. Regs. will be here in Dec 2025

  This event is suitable for most drivers, anywhere from juniors (12-17 year olds), to adult drivers interested in trying out their cars on the skidpan for the first time, to more experienced drivers who are interested in refreshing some of their car control techniques.

  Entrants will need to be a club member and must hold a valid Motorsport Australia Licence.  This licence is available online from Motorsport Australia. Don’t delay as you must have that licence before the event date.

  18+ Years of Age -  Speed Licence

  12-13 and 14-17 Years of Age - Speed Junior Licence

  For those who have never previously held any Motorsport Australia Licence, you can purchase a $35 2025 Motorsport Australia Introductory Licence (credit card details are required)

  When registering for this event, you must provide the following documents:

  1. Completed Motorsport Australia General Disclaimer
  2. Screenshot or photo of your current Motorsport Australia Speed Licence OR completed Single Event Introductory Licence (please be advised that no cash will be accepted on the day so you must fill in credit card details on the form)

  Please note that Electric, Hybrid and Mild Hybrid vehicles can not be accepted in Motorsport Australia Events at Sydney Motorsport Park.  Please don't try to register in an electric vehicle.  

  This is where our Officials Register as volunteers for this Driver Experience.  We need our event management team, Scrutineer Crew, Driving Instructors and Flag Marshals, to, Sign-on,   

  Driving Instructor.  If you are an experienced track driver with Motorsport Australia Coach qualifications, and talent to teach our members track driving, please volunteer and register here. You will have an exciting day encouraging our drivers.  If you are intending to run your car on the track demonstrating driving to the Club Members then complete the Scrutineering parts.  Here is the List of  Scrutiny items that you checked.  Instructors also complete a Passenger Ride Form, print it and hand it in to the Sign-on Desk. 

  Flag Marshals. If you would like an experience on trackside with a radio transceiver and light control panel, here is where you register as a volunteer Flag Marshal.  As a Flag Marshal you are assisting making it safe for us driving on the circuit.  We can even offer a few laps in the passengers seat of a driving instructor's car. Let motorsport know that you would like those laps.   Experience is not essential as we provide Flag Marshal briefing.  Flag Marshals Register and also complete a Passenger Ride Form, print it and hand it in to the Sign-on Desk.  

  The Management team, sign-on and scrutineering crews also register here and complete the disclaimer.  

  This Driver Experience has Motorsport Australia Permit 226/3101/TBA Download Supp. Regs. that will be here soon then read and understand.

• DX.2 Driver Experience, Driver Training - Come & Try

  This is a full Driver Training day on Amaroo Circuit as a Come and Try event.  It is your opportunity to drive on this circuit.  Motorsport Australia Permit Number for this day is 226/3101/TBA. 

  We have our experienced and talented drivers with Motorsport Australia Driver Coach qualifications as our instructors.  We will be running four groups of up to 15 cars in each group so that all drivers can drive at their own pace without being delayed or pushed to go faster.  

  Group 1 will be for experienced drivers looking for Supersprint driving instruction.

  Group 2 less experienced drivers wanting driver training.

  Group 3 for drivers new to the track looking to be instructed in their track driving. 

  Group 4 for inexperienced drivers starting out for track driving. 

  There is a process to enter this event:

  Step 1. Read the Supp. Regs for this Driver Experience.  Will be available here soon. It is all the information on how the event will be run. 

  Step 2. You must have a Motorsport Australia Licence.  If you don’t have an MA Speed or Junior Speed Licence then go online to Motorsport Australia Speed Licence  and purchase your licence online, OR,  if you want just an Motorsport Australia Come & Try Introductory one day licence for $35 for just one day then follow that link, download the Introductory licence, print it, fill it in including your Credit Card payment section, and bring it with you to the Sign-on Desk on the day.  

  Step 3. Register for this event, by completing the online Registration Form and paying the appropriate entry fee.  So that Track Manager and Flag Marshals can identify your car on the track as it moves past at speed, all cars will have a car number sticker supplied by us at sign-on and that you install on the car windscreen top left corner.  All the event documents are included in your registration and includes your Compliance, Disclaimer, and Scrutiny Forms.  A registration accepted and a copy of your Compliance, Disclaimer, and Scrutiny Forms will be emailed to you.

  Step 4.   Your Scrutiny Form is with the Scrutineers and  your emailed copy of that Scrutiny Form is for you to check and make sure your car is OK and that it will pass the Scrutineers to allow your car on the track. Road cars must be able to pass the TfNSW road rego. test or our BMW track cars must pass the Club's Scrutiny requirement.  Note, all that information is in the Supp. Regs.  

  There is also a Passenger Ride Form.  There are no Passengers, just Driving Instructors and Drivers.  Download the form complete it and bring it with you and hand it to the Sign-on Desk staff.  

  

  Volunteers   We call for our talented, Experienced Supersprint, Drivers with Motorsport Australia Coach qualifications to register as our Driving Instructors.

  We need Flag Marshals and will be able to offer them a couple of laps of Amaroo Circuit in the Passenger's seat of talented driver's car.  Please encourage your friends and relatives to be Flag Marshals for the day and register on the Volunteers event.

• BMW Supersprint Rnd 1 and Track Day

  Registration is open for our first Supersprint Rnd 1 and Track Day on the Gardner (GP) Circuit at Sydney Motorsport Park!

  We ran this Supersprint and Track day on Druitt in February 2025 and it was popular for Supersprint drivers having their fist competition event for the year and for club members who just want to have a non-competitive day enjoying a drive on that car race circuit.  This year we have opened up on the Gardner GP Circuit.  

  A Supersprint is a multi-car speed event conducted on a circuit in cars that are grouped together based on similar lap times. This Supersprint forms round 1 of our 2026 Championship.

  The Track Day ticket allows those drivers who wish to try out the motorsport circuit in a controlled environment with no competition.

  We expect to have four groups of around 20 cars running on the day, and will aim for three Supersprint Driver groups and one Track Day Driver Group.  Groups will follow SS1, SS2, TD, SS3 with equal time for each group.   

  The entry fee is the same for either Supersprint or Track Day drivers and all have equal track time.

  For history of this combined event, download and read the single set of 2025  Supplementary Regulations  on Druitt that are for both groups and the 2026 Supp. Regs for this one will here in Feb 2026.

  Supersprint Drivers must read the 2025 Supersprint Drivers Rules. These are tin addition to the Supp. Regs. and the Supersprint championship Rules.  Speed groups fastest to slowest, Cars Scrutiny checked and drivers are required to have a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence.  You must read the Supersprint Driver R.  Select your desired 2 or 3 digit car number and it is yours.  If two drivers want the same number we will sort it out by email.  Number digits can be purchased at the sign-on desk, $3 each.

  For Track Day Groups you must also read the 2025 Track Driver Rules and:

  • the car has current Australian registration, is road legal and you drive the car to the circuit,
  • no fire extinguisher is required, however a tow hook is recommend but not compulsory,
  • approved helmet and appropriate apparel required,
  • no timing, and no published results. Driving behaviours observed.  

  Track Day drivers can either purchase a Motorsport Australia one day Introductory Licence for $35 or have a Motorsport Australia Speed Licence.  Don't register until you have your licence number.  We will issue 2 digit car numbers for Track Day cars, no cost, install numbers on top left corner of windscreen.  

  There will be an Event Master Form that combines Compliance, Disclaimer and Scrutiny that all drivers complete online here in January 2026
  

  Where passengers are involved, all drivers and passengers are to complete Passenger Ride Form and submit it to the staff at the sign-on desk on the day.

• Supersprint Round 2 - BMW Porsche Challenge

  This Motorsport Event Permit No. 226/1406/TBA is round 2 of our 2026 BMW Supersprint Championship and a Round of Porsche Clubs Championship as well as our annual BMW/Porsche Challenge.

  The 2026 documents will be here in April 2026 For understanding please read the 2025 Approved Supp. Regs., Further Regs. and these Driver Briefing Notes  There will be a Master Event Form that combines Event Details, Disclaimer, Compliance and Scrutiny, online here in April 2026   

  This is a Supersprint Event with 60 BMWs and 60 Porsches where cars are in 5 speed groups that are rated fastest to slowest with up to 24 cars fastest to slowest in each group.  Drivers drive to set their best times in their club’s competition Class to win points in their club’s championship.  This is not a car race. Employ appropriate Supersprint driver etiquette. If a car is closer to you this lap than it was on the previous lap, it is faster than you so let it pass. If you are fast down the straight but are pushed around the corners by apparently slower cars, let them pass and follow them to learn their cornering techniques.   

  As this is also the annual BMW / Porsche Challenge, 25 BMW Club Cars and 25 Porsche Club Cars will be gaining points in the challenge by getting as close to their group time without breaking out.  Group times are Group 1 unlimited, Group 2 1:46, Group 3 1:51, Group 4 1:54 and Group 5 1:57.5.
