
This is a full Driver Training night
under the brilliant LED lights on Amaroo Circuit and includes a Come & Try event. It is your opportunity to drive on this circuit with some expert tuition. Motorsport Australia Permit Number for this day is 226/0108/TBA and registration will open on 5 Jul.
We have our experienced and talented Motorsport Australia qualified Driver Coaches as our Coach/instructors. We will be running five groups of up to 12 cars in each group so that all drivers can drive at their own pace without being delayed or pushed to go faster.
Group 1: Experienced Track drivers
is a group for experienced track drivers, possibly have had a few Supersprints and are now looking for more Supersprint driving instruction. You will have a Coach/Instructor for your first run or two but may drive without a Coach after demonstrating your experience.
Group 2: Some track experience looking to progress to Supersprints
is for a group of drivers with some track experience who are taking Coach/Instruction with the aim of moving into Supersprint events in the near future.
Group 3 Looking for a better track experience
is for a group of drivers who have driven on the track but are looking for Coach/Instruction to improve their track experience.
Group 4 Introduction to track driving
is for a group of drivers with considerable road driving experience and are now looking for Coach/Instruction as an introduction to driving on the racetrack.
Group 5 New starters looking to build experience
is for a group of drivers starting out on their driver experience and looking for Coach/Instruction to drive on a car race circuit.

Step 2. You need a Motorsport Australia licence.
This Driver Experience is run under a Motorsport Australia Permit, and all participants must have a Motorsport Australia Licence.
If you don’t have an MA Speed or Junior Speed Licence then log-in to Motorsport Australia setup your account then "My Applications" purchase your Licence online for around $174.
If you want just a Motorsport Australia, Come & Try, Introductory Licence 2026 for $40 then follow that link, complete that licence online, pay Motorsport Australia that Licence fee and bring your Motorsport Australia one day licence receipt with you on the evening.
If you are using the 1-day licence fill in your registration Motorsport Australia licence Number with "One-Day".
Step 3. Register for this event.
Complete this online Registration Form and pay the appropriate entry fee.
Enter the Registration form only once at the Register Box
1. Carefully select the Group Ticket for the group that you feel most describes your driving experience.
2. In the registration process you will read the online Motorsport Australia Vehicle/Apparel Compliance and Risk Disclaimer, and sign registration that you have read these two forms.
3. All cars driven on the Car Racetrack must pass Scrutiny. You read, understand, prepare your car and sign that you believe that your car will pass Scrutiny inspection.
Step 4. Prepare your car for scrutiny
1. If your car is road registered, you sign that you believe that it would pass a TfNSW rego test. Download to view Road Registered Test
2. If your car is a Track car, not road registered, then download the
Track Car Test. and use it to check your car
3. If your car is Log booked, then follow the logbook requirements.
So that the Track Manager and Flag Marshals can identify your car on the track as it moves past at speed, all cars will have a two-digit car number on both sides, on door or window in black or white contrasting to your car's colour.
I. You enter your desired number on your registration form and if that number is not already allocated then it’s yours. If the number is already used then we will provide an alternative number via email.
II. Car number must comply with Motorsport Australia Manual of Motorsport , Schedule K, 230mm high Malandra GB bold italic, or Helvetica or Arial Bold or equivalent.
III. Digits can be purchased at the sign-on desk for $3.50 each or from your sign company. Numbers formed from bits of paper and sticky tape are not permitted.
Option. Driver Coaching - you will be a passenger at some point
As a Driver you will most likely be a passenger and have a Coach/Instructor in your car or in his. Complete the On-line Passenger Ride Form

Event Extra Laps
Follow the Leader Passenger Laps. There will be a separate 20 minute session in our Driver Experience evening where club members, who want to know what Motorsport is all about, can come along in their road car with passengers and follow the Driver Coach in Passenger Laps. Cars must be TfNSW road registered with seat belts for all, drivers and passengers. Appropriate booster seats can be approved. To enter these laps Sign-on at the Sign-on Desk, Driver and car register for $25 and passengers register for $10.

Volunteers We call for our talented, Experienced Supersprint, Drivers with Motorsport Australia Coach qualifications to register as our Driving Instructors.
We need Flag Marshals and will be able to offer our Flag Marshals a couple of laps of Amaroo Circuit in the Passenger's seat of talented driver's car at during the evening and also, food will be provided. Please encourage your friends and relatives to be Flag Marshals for the day and register on the Volunteers event.
If you intend entering the 2026 Supersprint Championship please complete the online Annex C Form. This assists having cars in the correct Supersprint Class.
Please note that Electric, Hybrid and Mild Hybrid vehicles are currently not accepted at Sydney Motorsport Park but this may change.
